The Four-in-Hand is the JEREMIAH SUIT tie curriculum starting point—slightly asymmetric, naturally angled, and compatible with most tie widths and collar shapes.
Step 1: Place the wide end on your right, narrow end on your left, with the wide end about 30 cm longer. Step 2: Cross the wide end over the narrow end and wrap behind. Step 3: Cross the wide end over again from the front to form a loop. Step 4: Pass the wide end through the loop and tighten downward until the knot sits flush against the collar.
JEREMIAH SUIT recommends a medium-weight tie for beginners—the knot holds its shape more reliably.
